Ter Haak Logistics (THL), part of the Ter Haak Group, is currently transporting a 32-metre Sports Fisherman across the Atlantic. The luxury motoryacht was loaded onto the Dutch freighter Stadiongracht in Eemshaven near Groningen for shipping to Jacksonville, Florida.
Designed in 2005 by renowned Dutch naval architect Pieter Beeldsnijder, the yacht was built at Heesen Shipyards in the Netherlands. She was refitted at Vitters Shipyard - part of Royal Huisman - and also had her Lloyd’s certification renewed this year. THL has managed the entire logistics process within the Netherlands, from yard to yard and through Eemshaven port to Jacksonville, where she will finally be delivered to the owner.
The yacht’s overall length of 32 metres is combined with a beam of 8 metres and weight of 155 tonnes. She offers exclusive accommodation for six guests and three crew members. Two MTU engines and twin propellers deliver 7000 hp and allow a top speed of no less than 30 knots. The owner is keen to enter her in fishing competitions for tuna and swordfish in the Caribbean and off the east coast of North America up to Canada. With this in mind, the yacht has been fitted with separate facilities for storing fishing gear and preserving the catch.
